GOOD 😋
🗓 Last Visited on April 2026
It had been a while since our last visit to Ngoặm. But with this place still holding the top spot in our best burgers in Hanoi article since we first published it, we were due to pay another visit and see if it still holds up.
Short answer : Yes.
Burgers are now a bit bigger (and pricier) but still excellent. The menu is also larger and has been designed entirely around football!
The place is clearly targeting the young Vietnamese generation over expats and tourists, which explains a good part of their success. Don’t forget to book, the place is usually full!

We tried during our visit:
- Double Smash (180k): Smash burgers are often my first choice when I go for burgers, which means my standards are pretty high. Ngoặm’s take on this classic did not disappoint.
- Zizou (206k): Huong tried to be adventurous with this burger, served cut in half and dipped in an aioli sauce. It was good but very (very) filling.
- Fries (93k): Ngoặm’s fries have a good reputation. The only disappointment was the pistachio sauce accompanying them.
- World Cup Salad (140k): This was the miss of the evening, clearly too much on the sweet side. It confirms an impression we already had. Ngoặm likes to experiment with sides but not all of them are successful.
Worth noting: Ngoặm has partnered with Overmorrow for beers and Ciputra for kombucha. Do not sleep on that. Both are great local brands worth trying.
A great place (the best?) if you are craving for burgers in Hanoi
